Hi fellow maddog drivers!

Two weeks ago I purchased the maddog. And to the best of my knowledge everything was working fine. 2D, VC and exterior views, they looked normal.

Then I installed the Liveries pack 1. And the VC disappeared!! When I switch to VC mode, the only thing I see is outside scenery. It's like the Liveries Pack 1 install erased my VC. Although I haven't checked out all the models, I'm pretty sure this applies to all of them.

Perhaps the Liveries Pack 1 install altered the panel.cfg ? I don't know? But I'm reluctant to mess around with this file without knowing what I'm doing! Don't know what to look for either.

Please can anyone point me in the right direction? I've been waiting two weeks now before I could post, and haven't loaded up the bird once! Want everything to be OK. Not to worry thought, plenty of reading to do instead. Fascinating bird!

I've tried a search (actually several different searches) here, but nothing sofar...

Thanx in advance

Morten

Perhaps Paul J suggestions in this Post->crash fsx might do the trick...

There's a link to a document on mediafire that explains what must be done if you want VC with third party liveries!

Can't test it now, but can anyone confirm that this also applies to Liveries Pack 1 ?

Morten

After installing liveries pack, you have to go into the file aircraft.cfg and add "VC" at the "model" parameter. For all single liveries. Then, select VC in to the Load Manager/setup page.
Example

[fltsim.41]
title=LSH MD-82 Allegiant
sim=md-82
model=vc
panel=
sound=
texture=AAY
kb_checklists=md-82_check
kb_reference=md-82_ref
atc_id=N866GA
atc_airline=Allegiant
atc_flight_number=
atc_parking_types=GATE,CARGO,RAMP
atc_parking_codes=AAY
ui_manufacturer=Leonardo SH
ui_type=md-82
ui_variation=LSH MD-82 Allegiant
description=Maddog 2008 edition
visual_damage=0
atc_heavy=0

In my initial reply I think I misunderstood the issue... sorry about that!
