Claus,

I tried to register on the forum to download the CDU manual, but the site never sent a registration email, so I can't download it.

Any chance you could upload it to Media Fire, Drop Box or even AVSIM and provide me with a link?

Thanks so much.

Dave

I'll put it on my dropbox in an hour or two, Dave. My (main) machine is doing its weekly Acronis backup, so I can't get near it... Time/date here is

Paul,

Thanks so very much for the document! I'm very familiar with Boeing, and even the Maddog FMS, but having a guide such as yours in bound to help answer some advanced questions/issues!

Can't thank you enough for taking the time to upload it for me!

My group flys many different aircraft, but we love the Maddog (for obvious reasons), and we engage in Multi-Crew (shared cockpit) flights on a routine basis, and we have our own voice server for both the group and Pilot/Copilot communications (pretty neat actually, allows you to have the Private Pilot-Copilot conversation while still participating in the group conversation, except that anytime the pilot OR copilot keys the private cockpit communications it automatically blocks out the group conversation. Plus the group doesns't hear the cockpit chatter.

We've been flying Multi-Crew on VATSIM for about 3 years now, and I have to say that there is no more immersive experience, especially during an event.

I'll send you a PM with our voice server info, and hope you'll stop by for a chat or even join us for a group flight sometime.

Thanks again for the guide!

Dave

Hi Paul,
Many thanks for that link - really must tear myself away from the Boeing FMC and do some serious MD refresher flying....

....and who'd have thought you'd be needing that water-cooled rig in Canada....in March....stay cool!

You know, I'm not telling you guys anything you don't already know, but I'm going to say it anyway. I fly the NGX, MD-11, Level-D (I have the Captain Sim 767 but I don't fly it), and I just keep coming back for the Maddog. Especially for Multi-Crew on VATSIM. The lads and I have great fun with that, especially during Fly-Ins.

The FMS manual wasn't what I was hoping for, but to be honest Davide needs to get into gear and update the Maddog FMS (and an Internet Network Client). I love the guy, and love the aircrash (lol) even more. Still the most fun to fly.

Regarding the FMS, I sure wish we had the ability to enter multiple waypoints off of one VOR. That is so desperately needed.

I emailed him today... we'll see if he responds. He actually did at the end of last year (thanks Davide).

Hope you guys are doing well.
