Hi out there,
I use the Maddog as a real newbie, downloadedit one week ago via simmarket (hope this is the most recent download without using any update) Now I want the recent airac circle. I downloaded thenavdatainstaller for pmdg via navigraf and let the installer run as admin. After that I run the configuration tool, a new database was found and I started fsx and the maddog. But in the fmc it reads still the old default database. In the fsx maddog folder I found new sid stars but no othe nav data like waypoints, navaids. I tried to enter a route with recent waypoints and the maddog fmc could not find them although the have been very near and not even 1500nm from Lirf, so in the choosen area. I could choose the recent sid and stars but ofcourse they cannot match with not existing waypoints. What do I do wrong and what do I have to do to solve that problem? I appreiciate any help. Kind Regards Tobs This post has been edited by Tobs: 26/06/2012, 11:55 |

Go to FSX(main folder)/PMDG/NAVDATA and copy all content to FSX/FMCWP/NavData. This is for waypoints and intersections. I don't know if there is spme other metods, but it work's this way
P.S. make a backup of your FMCWP folder first This post has been edited by zeljko: 26/06/2012, 17:47 |

In order to install new NAVDATA: 1. Download and install the latest AIRAC for PMDG. 2. Backup the contents of the FSX\FMCWP\NAVDATA and MADDOG2008\SIDSTARS folder, 3. Copy the contents of the PMDG/NAVDATA folder to the FMCWP/NAVDATA folder, and overwrite the existing files. 4. Copy the contents of the PMDG\SIDSTARS folder to the MADDOG\SIDSTARS folder. 5. DO NOT RUN THE STAND ALONE MADDOG CLEANUP UTILITY. Instead, simply start up the Maddog Load Manager, and it will register the new NavData cycle, Airport List, SIDs and STARs. If you don't get the notification about that conversation when you start the Load Manager, you didn't do something correctly). Your done! Note that some folks might tell you that you only have to copy the NAVDATA folder, which is incorrect. Hope you found this helpful. ... and in case anyone uses FSBuild to create their flight plans - here is the make-link syntax to link the Lago\Maddog\Routes folder to the \Maddog2008\Routes folder, so that it automatically pushes the .mdr files to the Maddog2008 folder.
Just open a cmd window and type in this (or copy and change the actual FSX location):- mklink /D "F:\Flight Simulator X\Maddog2008\Routes" "F:\Flight Simulator X\Lago\Maddog\Routes" Note - You will need to delete the MADDOG2008\ "Routes" folder first, as it won't make a link if there's a "Routes" folder already there. Just save your existing .mdr files somewhere and then copy them back in after it's done. All the Best, -------------------- Good things are seldom cheap, and cheap things are seldom good...
