Hello everyone,
I have bought TSS pack for Maddog but I don't like the sound of the engine running with climb power from the cockpit. Do you use the default sounds or another pack like TSS or maybe others? I would like to know which is the most realistic and I don't want to change the cockpit sounds as I love them. Thanks and best regards. Iņigo |

Hello Inigo
TSS make some very good sounds, but I too recall having some issues with the MD80 sound set. Now I use the TSS 737-200 set, also I have reduced the FS engine sound slider to 30. Regards Paul |

I have also reduced the volume from engines but anyway I don't like hearing its sound from the cockpit.
I have seen many videos in YouTube and also fly in the cockpit of the real one and all I can hear is the wind, the cooling and the sound from instruments. Regarding external sound I find the default one not enough so TSS could be better but without the problem of the cockpit. Is the 737 sound the same than MD? I mean, the sounds from the cockpit are affected losing reality? Thanks |

Most of the sounds within the maddog cockpit are generate from gauges, so changing the sounds within the sound folder is more noticable when viewing the outside. I assume that TSS used engines from the aircraft they say they're designed for, however I'm sure most would be hard pushed to hear the differences between the JT8D-9 of a 732 and that of the 200 on the DC9-80 within flightsim.

Regards Paul Hi, Could you please explain again the first part? I don't understand what do you mean with changing the sounds within the sound folder and viewing the outside. Thanks Iņigo |

When viewing the panel (ie inside the airplane) with power on, most of the sound heard, apu, altimeter vibrator, throttle servos, pacs, come from a gauge (.gau, a file read by flight sim to build a panel), so therefore changing most sounds within the Maddog/sounds folder will have a greater impact when in external view as more of the external sounds come from the sounds folder.
