Hey everybody, I have a question about the Maddog 2006 :

http://www.myaviation.net/search/photo_sea...php?id=00933977

^^^ In the above photo, you can clearly see the 3 wing lights of the maddog. Now, the thing is that in FS, i cannot see these lights in the day, Only in the night, they become visible, I mean that they are on during the day but you cant notice them in the day but you can clearly see them in the night. Now is there any solution to this problem so that the 3 wing lights can be seen during the day aswell. ??

Thanks. smile.gif

Hi, this lights are present on the 3D model, and are visible regardless during day and night operation. So due to frame rate impact, at this time some of this lights aren't available yet, and not all have a real projection beam, as you can see in the pictures of followed link.

Available and not available lights at this time in MADDOG2006.

Not available anyway: Emergency Evacuation Lights

Available with projection beam: Nose Lights, Wing Landing Lights, Logo Lights (this last not are visible during day operation)

Available with no projection beam fully visible regardless during day and night operation: Flood lights - Ground, Wing, Nacelle

The others lights - Anti-collision, Strobe and position lights are ok!

But cant you just add the lights in the [LIGHTS] section of the Aircraft.cfg,....In addition to the 3D Lights ??

No absolutely! It isn't so easy manage the lights in a 3D model respecting an acceptable frame rate threshold. You have to planned the 3D model with or without 3D effects. Some lights are a basic feature of FS; that available have been all used. Others lights must be planned and managed in the 3D model.
