Dear MADDOG,

I just installed MADOOG 2008 for FSX and updated nav-data to the 0812 cycle (using the copy - paste from PMDG workaround). After that I cleaned the new nav-data using the cleaner tool provided with the MADDOG 2008 installation.

After all, the cycle showing in the IDENT page of MADDOG FMC is still 0605 and not the 0812.

Any suggestions?

I had the same problem today while working on the ETS tutorial from LIEO to LIML. PITOR fix was moved slightly and renamed to OLBEK which caused quite a lot of trouble. I had my procedures updated but not FMC which meant that there was OLBEK5A SID but not OLBEK fix.

If found out that you actually have to copy the files in total of 3 different places:

PMDG\NavData -> MADDOG2008\NavData (To update FMC fixes)
PMDG\NavData -> FMCWP\NavData (To update load manager fixes)
PMDG\SIDSTARS -> MADDOG2008\SIDSTARS

I hope this helps you out.

And after this you run the cleanup utility.

Only the last two copy operations are required, i.e. you should copy:
PMDG\NavData -> FMCWP\NavData
PMDG\SIDSTARS -> MADDOG2008\SIDSTARS

The first copy operation is what updates the database information in the FMC, among other things.

Also, it is not necessary to run the cleanup utility any more (in fact, some users are suggesting it may be harmful).

For jalava Attached you can find LIEO SIDSTARS for Maddog updated to AIRAC 0905. AIRAC 0905 must be put in folder FS*/FMCWP/NAVDATA. The attached file has to be copied in Maddog 2008 SIDSTAR folder (or in ROUTES folder for Maddog 2006). The attachement is consistent with the LIEO procedure charts recently amended that could be downloaded from http://www.ivao.it/web/modules/wfdownloads/viewcat.php?cid=7 (LIRR FIR 2nd page)

Mauro

Attached File  LIEO.txt ( 19.27K ) Number of downloads: 10

Thanks,

Though I prefer flying with up-to-date airac and real weather. My around the world in 80 flights in md-80 project has started already, I've successfully flown the md80 now from LSGS->LEBB->LPPT smile.gif
