Hello dear simmers,
I am so un-happy because my beloved Maddog-MD-82 has such worse problems like I never ever had before ! And I have an experience of about 50 hours with the Maddog MD-82, or more. And I love this aircraft soo much! Did yourself experience the shutdown of both engines immediately and at the exact same time without doing nothing at yourself!? Me I had to.. I can fly on cruise FL290 for about 20 minutes, all goes fine. Takeoff and climbout there were no problems at all. Totally normal weather conditions. Flying on VNAV and NAV as always before. Enough of fuel on board. And then absolute suddenly the engines shutdown, the instruments go out, only warn flags showing, no electric, no system power at all, the slats extend themselves, the gear warning comes, and myself I am not doing anything ! All happens automatically and I really don't know why at all!! Does anybody have such experience and could give me a tip? I have these problems since I have done a complete new install of my Win XP Home 32 bit, and a complete new install of FS 2004 (FS9.1). Earlier there were no problems like these. Today I was on very short final ILS Rwy25 in LICJ, only 30 seconds before touchdown, and what happened? Both engines did shutdown themselves, suddenly and automatically, all power off, no instruments visible anymore..and so on... And all this after one hour of an wonderful flight with no problems at all. And at the end of the flight such ugly things...! My system: Win XP Home, 32 bit, SP3, 6 GB DDR3 RAM, Nvidia GTX-260, 200 GB Harddisk, Intel i7-940, Network of 3 computers, all for fyling: one for FS9.1, another pc for FSFlight Keeper31, and one pc for ASV65 weather. All connected via WideFS 6.78 and FSUIPC 3.912 (registered versions). PFC Jetliner Yoke-USB, PFC 4Throttle-Quadrant via Serial to USB-connector, Saitek pedals-USB, Saitek command unit (little keyboard)-USB, GF-MCP Autopilot module-USB. I had problems with USB sometimes and I don't know if USB is able to produce such problems..?! All the same problems I have with PMDG-MD-11/F!! It seems it's the problem of my system. But what could it be? Maybe someone can help me!? I would be so happy about any help! Sorry for my english... All the best to you! Hello dear simmers, Hi Boris. I fly the Maddog since years and I've never seen this until tonight. I was Changing my settings in the Saitek profile editor Trying to swich on and off the AP, AT and start valves Anything had to do with the engines and i didn't touch the fuel valves thought I. But what is sure is that I had sudenly both engines off My DFDR showed at a moment Engine 1 and Engine 2 OFF with associated FF egal zero The solution was that I was assigning the same key for a command as the default Fuel OFF of MFS. I hope it can help... Regards, Cyril This post has been edited by Cyril Murat: 07/02/2010, 22:53 -------------------- |
