Folks:
I read in another forum from a pretty reliable source that the Leonardo team is indeed working on an update for the MD.
I do not wish to link to it, as it may have been said accidentally, and I don't want to get anyone cross ways with the LH team.
But definitely encouraging news!
James

Hi James.
How old is the post you've read please?
Leonardo's working on the Maddog has been announced in the italian forum quite long ago but we still don't have any news so doubt is still here sad.gif
I hope your information is right.
Regards,
Cyril

Cyril, as Molders said, just yesterday!
Again, a reliable source, but time will tell of course.

Sod the emails just copy/paste it in here. I think all loyal members should be told of any update first.

If they are updating the Maddog, I hope they are working on a FSX designed simulation, not a port over from FS9.

Not to be the stick in the mud, but I hope that they are updating both versions and release them both, I as a loyal customer don't want to be left behind, like one other developer out there who updated their FSX version and indirectly told the FS9 users to take a hike.

I doubt that. Word is about an "update", not a new Maddog built from scratch. Actually, the FSX Maddog is one of the best portovers I've ever seen, and I've not run into any of the typical issues that usually arise from FS9/FSX ports.

I'd be more than happy if they just released an update that addresses all (or at least most) of the bugs that have been brought up in these forums, especially the currently inop standby instruments and an update to the FMC that lets it consume PMDG NAVDATA from Navigraph without having to mess with all sorts of "converters" in order to make those data work with the Maddog.
