Hi,
it´s my first post here and although I like the maddog a lot, I have not been able to use the autorthrottle a single time withouit burning my engines. Every time I activate the autorthrottle it firewalls the throttles. It´s like it is not reading the EPR limits. It´s the same in take off mode, climb or airspeed. When I activate the autorthrottle - full power and left engine gone. I have read the posts and the manual. I do not say, I did not make a mistake but it would be helpful to understand what I am doing wrong. The other thing that I noticed is that I do not get rid of the stabilzer warning although the two indications for the longitudinal trim are alined. Many thanks Andras |

Paul,
thank you. I followed this and it makes things easier, however, it did not solve the autthrottle issue. This time, the autothrottle advanced the left engine to 2.30 or maximum power and moved the right throttle only to 1.83. This is not right. Any ideas on what is happening? Thanks Andras |

So nobody who has experienced the same problem? I have tried it another seven or eight times and i am positvely sure that I am not making any mistakes. Could this be influenced by some other addons or modules or maybe some FSUIPC settings or something else internal or external in flight sim.
Grateful for any new ideas since flying this plane without an autothrottle that keeps speed is frustrating. Thanks Andras |

Thanks Andras Could you post a screen shot of the panel during takeoff when it is misbehaving?? Is the TRC set for TO? Do you have "take off-take off" in the Fma PANEL? do you wait until 1.4 EPR before you engage the A/T? Did you "fix all failures"?? Yes, the panel state is allright and no misbehaving of engine or plane until arming the autopilot.
I used the fix all failures but I am not sure whether this feature is working correctly. When I press it I get a short sound but no other reaction. Is this the way it is supposed to be or should ther be some more response? |

Hi Andras1,
Have you tried connecting to the Maddog’s control panel? Sometimes you can have an Inoperative system that will not be fixed by the “fix all failures” option in the game. Once connected to the control panel go to the “Ground utilities” tab and select both Fix all Failures and Fix all INOPs. You can also run the setup manager and see if there are any failures listed for your aircraft livery under the Failures/INOPs tab. If there are you can just delete them. Make sure however you have the right livery selected as each individual livery has its own list of failures/INOPs. This post has been edited by Molders: 11/03/2010, 14:04 |

Thanks for the suggestion but no. It is not working.
With pressing the fix failures the system did not burn the engine any more but the A/T is imply not connecting to the EPR limit. When armed it starts to push the throttles forward and stops somewhere no matter where the EPR limit stands. Plus it pushes the throttles forward ansynchronously. This means left goes eg to 2.04 while the right one stops at 1.73 providing asnychronous thrust. The speed selection does not work at all. I have the speed select sign appear on the panel eg to 250 but the authrottle keeps going until the plane overspeeds. Any more ideas? Thanks Andras |

The secret is unvovered. It was an old version of the FSUIPC Module. Exchanged it for the new one on Pete Dowson´s site and now it´s finally working.
