Hello!
I've found out what's causing the engine sound to run while the engines are off in FSX. FSX seems to get confused when a sound file is being called more the once in a category (COMBUSTION, JET_WHINE and so on) within the sound file. In the MADDOG sound.cfg, idle.wav and some other files are used multiple times within the different categories. To fix this, one have to copy the files that are being used multiple times and rename them. (Idle1, Idle2 etc.) Also, the entries in sound.cfg must be updated as well. Sometimes the problem still occurs, but can be fixed by pressing Q twice. This post has been edited by flyhigh: 11/04/2012, 17:54 |
