When return back from heading mode to a remaining route, example remaining NOSLI TONSA ABAM... (where NOSLI currently is on top) I am used with other AC to re-enter NOSLI (i.e. put it on top again). This does not work with MD82/MADDOG, 'cause it say illegal delete. How to go direct NOSLI, do I must first fly in Select Heading mode to NOSLI, and then engage NAV mode when close to the route ?
The strange is I can select direct TONSA or ABAM, but not direct NOSLI.

The similar seams to be after a hold, when select the WP after hold (i.e. put next WP on top), AC does never go the remaining route at all. Do I must first fly in Select Heading mode out of the hold to later re-join the route ?

Is those the cases in a real MD82 ?

1. Yes use heading to approach route (always before ACTIVE WP (NOLSI)) and reengage NAV

2. NOSLI cannot be reentered because it is like delete the ACTIVE WP.

3 You must exit from the hold first therefore put the next WP below the holding point (not on top) and EXIT HOLD

Ok.

This option I use frequently on other AC, but ok not at MD82.

Ok, I didn't know there was an EXIT HOLD option.

Option #2 to proceed direct to waypoint (and more efficient):

1. Click the DIR/INTC button on the FMS (2nd from the left on the top row).

2. Either select the LSK next to the waypoint you wish to proceed directly to (or type it in to the scratch pad)

3. Press the left LSK 6 button to enter the waypoint in to the empty square boxes.

4. Press "enter" on the FMS to activate your changes.

5. Reengage LNAV.

Thanks.

Now I have more options.
