The manager & setup gives me strange distance to destination values for any route.

example : LFPG to LFBO alternate LFBD

distance to dest. : 70294.4 nm ?????? STA 18:13

what's wrong ?? how can I fix this issue ?

current AIRAC 1113 (same issue with AIRAC 1112)
filter navdata at "blank" radius "blank" nm

Many thanks

"Reinstall and/or Register again"

I just tried to register again.

I got the confirmation mail from Leonardo Software House, but the manager & setup issue is not fixed yet.

Would you please give me the right order to reinstall :

1) deinstall Fly the Maddog Professionnal 2010 edition via the Uninstall pgm provided
2) reinstall via FLY_THE_MADDOG_PRO_32.exe v 2.0.0.32

Do you recommend to save some folders before deinstalling like : DFDR, Routes, Saves folders ?

anything else ?

Thanks

Hi,

I usually backup the Repaint folders and the aircraft .cfg, so I can reinstall the whole thing by just copy/ paste the "liveries cfg" lines in the new aircraft.cfg
Same for the maddog.ini in order to copy/paste the [PANEL.xx] lines and intelliscene.cfg if you are using AES.

Just reinstalled "Fly the Maddog" after a complete deinstallation achieved with the Uninstall.exe provided

The manager & setup (Maddog_lm.exe v3.0.0.0) still gives me wrong figures. Example :

LFPG-EHAM/alter EHRD (11 nm)

distance to dest. 62109.4 nm

how does the LM compute the distance ? with the depart and arrival coords ? where can I check those coords are correct ?

what could be wrong/corrupted in the Maddog2008.ini file ?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated

It could come from a corrupted Airac database.

The Maddog uses the same Database as the PMDG.

You may check the original PMDG files located in the FS root folder /FMCWP in FS9 (I don't know precisely for FSX).

Try to move the database content and database backup to another location, and reinstall the Airac 1113 for PMDG on a clean basis.

I guess the LM calculation is made from geographic coordinates. You can check it in the airports.dat file in FMCWP folder. Use notepad.

EHAM should be 52.308056 4.764167

LFPG 49.009811 2.547778

That did the trick !

Reinstall and/or register ? that was not the best advice I got from support

Merci Olivier
