  4. Hello Captains! We are proud to present you latest Fly the Maddog X release, 1.4b427, for both the MD-82 base pack and MD-83 & MD-88 variants. After barely a month of work, this version is released as an 'incremental upgrade', which means that the size of the download is minimal, and no user intervention (apart from exporting and re-importing your liveries after the update) is required. For the upgrade process to complete, you must first have full 1.4b412 or 1.4b414 installed in your system: the full installers can be found in simMarket - your orders. Even if released momentarily as Open Beta, the update is recommended to all users and is considered stable enough for public release. In about 2 weeks, these incremental installers will be replaced by complete full installers, available on simMarket. In addition to numerous bugfixes, the most important new feature is the addition of a "full economy" cabin layout (Y162) that complements the default "mixed class" (J14+Y134). Our PFPX profiles are already updated and available for download from this thread; We have also updated our weights reference table for Simbrief integration: more information can be found inside the included Whatsnew_incremental_414_427.pdf. Head here for the MD-82 incremental installer and here for the MD-83/MD-88 installer (remember that login to the forum with a validated account is required to access the links). Changelog: Development isn't finished, and we are already at work...More news soon. Blue skies!

  6. Has anyone noticed yet? Navigraph has released a brand new AIRAC dataset, specific for Fly the Maddog X 64 bit edition: "Fly the Maddog X (P3Dv4.x and above)". Your 1.4b414 version for P3D v4.4/v4.5 is already compatible and installing the new dataset allows you to select and fly ARC-DME procedures. You can manually download the new set right now, or just re-scan your addons with the Navigraph's FMS Data Manager: the 64bit edition will be automatically recognized. 32bit customers will be getting regoular updates as always, but be sure to use the correct dataset: "Fly the Maddog X (FSX-FSX:SE/P3Dv3.x only)": the new format isn't obviously compatible and could crash your simulator. As a side note, we asked Aerosoft to updated their "NavDataPro AIRAC and fms updates" with the new format, but no answer from them so far. You can continue using their dataset for both platforms, but you won't be able to fly ARC-DME procedures.
  7. Hello! Lockheed Martin has released today the Prepar3d v4.5 'Hotfix 1', bringing it to version '4.5.12.30293': current Fly the Maddog X for P3D v4.4/v4.5, version 1.4b414, works with no issues. If minor tweaks might be needed -depending on the last minute changes by LM- they will be included with the next upcoming build, presently in beta testing phase (no ETA yet). Happy landings!
  8. Hello there, some info just to give you a brief update on the development status: We will be releasing shortly an incremental upgrade (open beta) for both the -82 and -83/-88 packages that need 1.4b414 to be installed, it's some 40Mb. It includes bug fixing -based on your latest reports- and 2 new features: 8.33 Khz radio support and ARC-DME procedures. As you know, the Maddog can fly RNAV procedures except the following P-RNAV ones: - P-RNAV AR containing legs RNP ≤ 0.3; - P-RNAV AR containing RF Path Terminator legs. This is why, instead of developing Radious to Fix legs that actually can't be flown neither by the real aircraft, we made the choice to focus on ARC-DME. For coding the ARC-DME procedures we needed to change the current AIRAC dataset. You will be shortly able to download a new datased from Navigraph for "Fly the Maddog X P3D v4.4/v4.5" which is required for ARC-DME procedures support. The 'old' AIRAC dataset format will be continued being published for all the other platforms. Aerosoft has been informed about this dataset change, but no reply so far from them. If you use NavDataPro, until they update the dataset as requested, you won't be able to fly ARC-DME but nothing else is different in reference to what you are used to. That's all for now but expect other news soon, we're always at work for enhancing the Maddog X! Have a nice weekend!
  9. Hello Captains We have found a major issue in Flythemaddog X that has required us releasing a new build to fix it. You can download the new 1.4b414 full installers from your simMarket account. This is the 3rd release in 2 days, my apologies but the issue was discovered only after the b412 release and we wanted to fix it as soon as possible. Blue skies!
  10. This is a short demonstration of the potential for fun and immersion of our ACARS system and its integration with random failures. On today's flight, after completion of pushback and engine start the R ENGINE DRIVEN HYD PUMP seemed to be inoperative... We therefore decided to go back to the stand to see if the engineer could fix it... Maintenance Control informed us an engineer will meet us at the gate... We attached the jetbridge and open the door... After a few minutes the engineer decided to dispatch us in accordance with the MEL, as it would take too long to fix the pump... He performed the maintenance actions and applied the required placard while we read and brief the MEL... We finally departed with a slight delay...
  11. Hello captains, everyone here at Leonardo is back. While we are slowly answering all pending support requests, emails and tickets, we want to give you a small update. After the SP1b351 release for the MD-82 base pack and the MD-83 & MD-88 variants expansion, we noticed some things that need to be fixed in an upcoming cumulative update that we will issue near mid January (if everything is good): 1) Users with cabin lights not displaying at night in the PBR model. 2) Users with CTDs in the dep/arr fms page. Happy landings!
  12. Although we will continue to respond to requests for support, expect a little delay! The team is on vacation until the 3rd of January 2019! Merry Christmas and Happy 2019!
  13. Fly the Maddog X MD-83 & MD-88 variants released!! https://www.flythemaddog.com/site/node/9 Merry Christmas and happy 2019!!
  14. Login either to your simMarket account and download the files in your orders page, or here in the forums -if not already done- visiting this link, grab your copy now! SP1b351 adds PBR liveries to your MD-82 base pack in P3D v4.4, please read the attached documents for further instructions! Tomorrow Sunday the 23rd we will also release the MD-83 & MD-88 variants expansion for purchase in simMarket. You must first update your MD-82 base pack to SP1b351 before installing! 15. Captains, we are finally happy to share with you the new Master Paintkit for the Maddog X. This new paintkit is a great enhancement of the original first release paintkit that we created with ease of use as the primary goal in mind. In creating the new paintkit we decided to involve some of the most competent painters on the scene, gathering feedback and suggestions in order to make this new paintkit as easy to use and versatile as possible for painters at all levels. On top of the great work by Giovanni Cagnetta in detailing and dirt we've received a very kind proposal from Steve Drabek to include his bare metal version. We could not miss this opportunity and that's why we took a bit longer than expected to finalize the Master Paintkit. Some liveries have already been created with this kit and it proved to be a pretty solid "ready for use" solution. Although some conflicts in layers can always exist, depending on the different colors and layout, we believe we made painters life as easy as possible in order to intervene and customize their repaint as needed. We also decided to leave plenty of room for tweaking, adjusting level of dirt, shadowing, window frames without making it overly complicated. There will always be room for improvement and we will always be happy to hear your feedback, but we are confident you will really enjoy creating your desired liveries with the new paintkit.
