SP1: weird fuel heaters behavior.

Recommended Posts

When using the fuel-heaters, the temperature increase is acting very very fast. In 20 seconds after putting them on, the temperature boosts 25-30 degrees. It then stops, before plummeting down to the same temp I had before i enganged them. The temp decrease also takes around 20 seconds.

The Fuel Heat is not meant to heat the fuel in the tanks or something. It is purely to rid the fuel system of any ice that might have built up during cruise. That's why you turn the on for one cycle ONLY before takeoff or approach. The idea is that if you do a takeoff or go around, high amounts of fuel are needed to support the Fuel Control Unit, and you don't want fuel ice getting in the way.
